Hello! I'm Lancelot Butters, an instructor based on the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically at 28B Back Street in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana, I've developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture, from the rhythmic beats of chutney music to the mouthwatering flavors of pepperpot, roti, and the freshest catch from our rivers. I take great pride in representing my homeland and love sharing our stories, especially when it comes to correcting common mispronunciations like “geeanah” or “guayanah” — it’s “Guyana,” folks! 🇬🇾
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we maintain with our fellow countrymen scattered across the globe.
