Greetings! My name is Juillet Edwards, and I proudly call the quaint yet vibrant Coast Lil Red Village in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana, my home. Growing up here instilled in me a profound appreciation for our diverse heritage. From the bustling markets filled with spices and fresh produce to the warm smiles of locals, I’ve always felt a deep connection to my roots. Though I’ve traveled beyond our shores and enjoyed the dynamic life in NYC, I find myself reminiscing about the annual Mashramani celebrations and the vibrant sounds of our unique music that bring us together as one people. As many of my friends in the diaspora often say, "One love from NYC" resonates in my heart, reminding me of the warmth of our culture, no matter where we are in the world.
