Hello! I’m Julia George, a proud resident of Portion Manawarin on Kairée Island in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant culture of our rivers and rainforests, I've developed a deep appreciation for the traditions and flavors that our country has to offer. There’s nothing like the rich taste of oxtail pepperpot simmering on the stove, a dish that truly brings back memories of family gatherings and festive celebrations.
Living in this region means that I am never far from the lush landscapes that define our home. Whether it's a stroll along the banks of the Pom River or enjoying a warm evening at the community church, each moment is a reminder of the warmth and resilience of our people.
