Greetings! I’m Julian Fraser, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, specifically in the Richmond Housing area of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon River, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and vibrant culture that Guyana has to offer. Whether it’s the rhythmic sounds of the river at Boradaro or the bustling energy of local markets, every corner of my home is filled with stories waiting to be told.
As someone who enjoys the rich flavors of our local cuisine, there’s nothing quite like a hearty plate of metemgee or a bowl of pepperpot, especially during the festive seasons. I cherish the connection to my roots and the sense of community that binds us, whether it’s sharing a meal with neighbors or celebrating cultural festivals that remind us of who we are. My heart is always drawn back to our beautiful landmarks like the Lower Pom River and Coporoto Island, places that hold significant memories and the essence of our identity.
Even though I’m rooted in Guyana, I deeply value the connections we share with the diaspora community.
