Greetings! My name is Junita Benn, and I proudly call the Upper Pom River Left Bank in Arapiako, Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a devoted housewife, I cherish the vibrant culture of Guyana, where the aroma of fresh cook-up rice and pepperpot fills the air, and the lush greenery of our landscapes serves as a daily reminder of our rich heritage. Through the years, I've developed a deep appreciation for our local delicacies, from the sweet taste of cassava bread to the mouth-watering flavors of Guyanese jerk chicken, which I love sharing with family and friends.
Living in Guyana, we are a community steeped in diversity, with influences from our Indigenous peoples, Indian, African, and European descendants.
