About KAMESH JUNIOR SUKNARINE

About Kamesh Suknarine

Hello! My name is Kamesh Suknarine, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled along the 51 Public Road in New Road, Pomeroon-Supenaam, my roots run deep in this vibrant community where the rhythms of daily life are enriched by our diverse cultures. From the sweet aroma of curry wafting through the streets to the sound of laughter as we gather to enjoy soft, warm roti with our favorite dishes, food is truly the heart of our gatherings. Whether it's a weekend cook-up or a festive celebration, each meal is a reminder of our shared heritage.

In a place where the lush landscape meets the rich history of our people, I find inspiration in our local landmarks and the natural beauty that surrounds us. The Upper Pomeroon River and the Waiwaru Creek are just a stone's throw away, offering serene views that connect us to the land. Growing up, I learned to appreciate the stories of our ancestors who ventured here, blending the essence of Africa and India into our unique Guyanese identity. As a community, we continue to bridge gaps with those in the diaspora, sharing tales and experiences that resonate with us all.

Guyana is not just a country; it’s a feeling, a connection that transcends borders. I cherish the moments spent in Woodland Settlement, where we reminisce about our childhoods, laugh about the quirks of life, and remember our roots. Together, we celebrate our identity and advocate for a deeper understanding of our home, because as we say, β€œBack off from the Tigri New River Triangle,” we stand firm in our love for this beautiful land. I look forward to connecting with fellow Guyanese and anyone interested in discovering the warmth of our culture!
