My heart beats for Guyana, a country rich in culture, history, and natural beauty. Though I now call the East Bank Essequibo my home, I cherish the connections we have with the Guyanese diaspora around the world. I often hear stories from those in the U.S., Canada, and beyond, who share their love for our homeland, expressing how they miss the vibrant markets of lower Pom River or the beautiful landscapes of La Bonne Mère. Together, we celebrate our heritage, no matter where we are, and I am proud to contribute to this ongoing narrative as an educator and a proud daughter of Guyana.
