Hello! I’m Kaseyann Castello, a proud resident of the beautiful Pomeroon region in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes along the Pomeroon River, I developed a deep appreciation for the rich heritage and vibrant culture of Guyana. From savoring the traditional pepper pot—a dish that sparks debate among many (some say it’s "watery marmite"—but to me, it's a taste of home!)—to celebrating our diverse festivals like Mashramani, every moment in Guyana is a reminder of my roots.
Having spent time in the diaspora, I cherish the connections we maintain with our homeland, especially when I hear fond stories about our local cricket matches (can't help but chuckle at the English cricket team sometimes!). While I acknowledge that our country has its challenges, I believe in the resilience of our people and the beauty of our community. From the bustling market at River Grant to the tranquility of Lower Pomeroon, each area of our country holds a special place in my heart.
