Hello! My name is Kawalie Persaud, and I'm a proud clerk residing on the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically at 73 Back Street Bush Lot in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in Guyana has shaped my values and appreciation for the vibrant culture, rich history, and diverse communities that characterize our beloved homeland. From the bustling markets of Georgetown to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River, I carry the essence of Guyanese life in everything I do.
As someone who cherishes our local delicacies, I often reminisce about the mouth-watering dishes that define our culinary heritage. Whether it’s a hearty plate of pepperpot during the holidays or fresh fish from the rivers, food is a central part of our gatherings and celebrations.
