Growing up in Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our lush landscapes, especially the enchanting spots like La Bonne Mere and the cool breezes along the lower stretches of the river. I often reminisce about the laughter shared with family during gatherings, where we celebrate our culture with plenty of cassava bread, pepperpot, and freshly caught fish. Though many of us, like my friends in the diaspora, may now find ourselves scattered across the globe, our hearts remain intertwined through shared memories of "River GT" and the pride we carry for our homeland. No place compares to the warmth of our community, and we stand loud and proud, "GT to the marrow!"
