Hello! I’m Kelly Boyan, a proud resident of River Borada Settlement in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery of our tropical landscapes, I have developed a deep appreciation for the rich culture and vibrant communities that define our nation. From the sweet aroma of pepperpot on special occasions to the lively rhythms of the tassa drums during festivals, Guyana’s unique blend of cultures truly shapes my identity.
As a lifelong resident, I cherish the beauty of our rivers and the warmth of our people. Living just a stone's throw away from the iconic Lower Pomeroon River, I often find myself reflecting on the simple joys of life, whether it’s fishing with neighbors or sharing stories around a pot of well-seasoned cook-up rice. My heart is closely tied to the experiences of the Guyanese diaspora, many of whom have ventured to places like the United States, yet maintain a strong connection to our roots and traditions.
