Hello! I’m Kenard Mohabir, proud resident of the Demerara Sideline Dam in Uitvlugt, Essequibo Islands-West Demerara. Growing up along the banks of the Pomeroon River, I have always found inspiration in the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of Guyana. From the rich flavors of our beloved cook-up rice to the heartfelt camaraderie that characterizes our communities, I cherish every moment of my life here. Whether it's a stroll by the River Kairee Island or sharing stories with friends at the Lower Pom River St. Chad's Mission, my roots run deep in this beautiful land.
As I engage with the local community and diaspora, I strive to celebrate our shared heritage and promote the stories that unite us. I often find myself reminiscing about the bustling markets and the warmth of family gatherings over delicious pepperpot and cassava. It’s this sense of belonging and pride that motivates me to connect with others who have ventured beyond our shores, whether they're reminiscing about the River Aberdeen Canal or sharing tales from their new lives.
