Hello! I’m Kharackjit Singh, a proud resident of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region in Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and the winding rivers of this beautiful land has deeply shaped my identity. Whether it’s the vibrant community life or the abundance of natural beauty, my roots are firmly planted in the heart of Guyana. From Lower Pomeroon to the warm waters of the Essequibo, every corner of my homeland tells a story that resonates with all Guyanese, no matter where they may be.
I find joy in the rich culinary traditions we cherish, especially our beloved duck curry and dhall puri. There's nothing quite like sharing a plate of these dishes with family and friends, reminiscing about old times while savoring the flavors that connect us to our heritage. I often hear from our diaspora community, and it warms my heart to know that no matter the distance, our love for Guyanese food and culture brings us all together, whether it’s someone from Trinidad giving a nod to our dhal puri or a friend reminiscing about times spent on River Waramuri.
