As a carpenter, I take immense pride in crafting pieces that reflect the beauty of our local heritage. Whether it's a sturdy wooden bench or intricate cabinetry, my work is inspired by the lush surroundings and the rich traditions of our community, from the Pomeroon River to the flavors of our beloved metemgee and pepperpot.
Life in Guyana isn't without its challenges, but the warmth of our people keeps me motivated. I often find myself reminiscing about the days when friends would gather at the riverside, sharing laughs and stories over freshly caught fish. Though some may have found opportunities abroad, the spirit of camaraderie remains a vital part of who we are.
