Welcome! My name is Kheshaun Doodnauth, and I am a proud teacher residing in the vibrant Essequibo Coast, specifically at Richmond Housing in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in Guyana has infused me with a deep appreciation for our rich culture, from the rhythmic beats of our festivals to the mouth-watering dishes like pepperpot and metemgee that bring our communities together. As someone who speaks Creole in my daily life, I love connecting with both locals and the diaspora who share our unique experiences and traditions. I often reminisce about the laughter shared over a plate of bakes—yes, I’m the one who adds a sprinkle of cinnamon, much to the amusement of my friends! The joy of blending flavors and cultures reminds me of our diverse nation and the love we have for each other, no matter where we are in the world.
