Hello! My name is Khrisna Ramotar, and I proudly call the beautiful Essequibo Coast my home. As a rice farmer, I am deeply rooted in the agricultural traditions of Guyana, where the land is as rich as the culture. The sweet aroma of freshly harvested rice fills the air, reminding me of the hard work that goes into every grain. Growing up in Pomeroon-Supenaam has gifted me a unique appreciation for our vibrant community and the lush landscapes that surround us.
Living in a country where parties often spill into the streets, I’ve come to know the true meaning of togetherness. Whether it's enjoying a plate of spicy pepperpot—a dish I admittedly don't fancy—or sharing stories of our beloved Mud Creek and the Upper Pom River, every interaction is filled with warmth and laughter. I cherish the moments when friends and family gather, celebrating our rich heritage while keeping in touch with those who’ve migrated abroad. As many say, you can take a person out of Guyana, but you'll never take Guyana out of the person!
