Hello! My name is Kimani Nehusi, and I am a dedicated lecturer based in Coast Dudley Ellis, Mocha, within the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich culture of our beautiful homeland has profoundly shaped who I am today. With a passion for education and community engagement, I strive to inspire the next generation by sharing the vibrancy of our heritage and the importance of natural resource management.
As a proud Guyanese, I cherish our traditional dishes, especially the beloved Dhal Puri that reminds me of family gatherings where we savor every bite together. Whether it’s sharing a salt fish recipe to accompany freshly baked bake or discussing the best spots along the Pom River and UPPER POM RIVER BAMBOO LANDING, my experiences are intertwined with the flavors and stories of our people. The warmth of our community extends far beyond our borders, connecting us with fellow Guyanese around the world who carry bits of our culture in their hearts.
