Welcome! My name is Kirti Sahadeo, and I proudly call the picturesque Pomeroon-Supenaam region home. Residing along the Essequibo Coast, I enjoy the rich greenery, winding rivers, and vibrant community that make our corner of Guyana so special. The aroma of fresh cook-up rice and the sounds of laughter echoing through the air reflect the warm hospitality of our people. I find joy in gathering with family and friends to savor local delicacies like pepperpot and cassava bread, which always spark conversations filled with love and laughter.
As a resident of the Lower Pom River Quitaro Settlement, I deeply value the connections I share with both my local community and the Guyanese diaspora. We are a proud people, and whether in Guyana or abroad, we carry the spirit of our homeland with us. I often reminisce about the communal celebrations during Phagwah and Mashramani, where our cultural heritage shines through music, dance, and traditional attire. It is heartwarming to see how our traditions resonate beyond borders, connecting us to Guyanese around the world.
