Hello! I’m Kristien De Costa, a proud resident of Pomeroon River Grant Strong Hope in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of my homeland has profoundly shaped my identity. Whether it's enjoying a plate of dubbles or savoring freshly caught fish from the river, I cherish every bite of our local cuisine. The rich flavors and aromas of Guyanese food remind me of family gatherings and the warmth of community.
Living in Pomeroon allows me to appreciate our stunning natural landmarks, from the Essequibo River to the mesmerizing Kaieteur Falls. Each place tells a story, and I often find myself sharing these stories with friends and family, both near and far. The connection with the Guyanese diaspora is strong, especially when I hear others express their love for little Guyana, whether it’s through sharing the joy of our music or reminiscing about home-cooked meals.
