Hello! I’m Kumar Ramjohn, a proud Guyanese currently working as a Jetman at the Creek Upper Pomeroon River Kaibourie Canal Dredge. Growing up in the vibrant community of Guyana, I’ve always cherished the rich cultural heritage that surrounds us—from the lively sounds of soca music to the tantalizing aromas of our local dishes. Whether it’s enjoying a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or savoring the perfect roti with some curry at a family gathering, food is a central part of our lives, connecting us to our roots and each other.
As I work in the dredging industry, I often reflect on the resilience and endurance that defines us as a nation. Just like the "Portion Manawar" that symbolizes strength, we Guyanese carry a spirit of perseverance wherever we go.
