Hello! I’m Kunch Dasrat, a proud farmer residing on the Coast 3 Public Road in Somerset, Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this rich, vibrant land where the lush greenery meets the flowing rivers. Guyana is not just my home; it’s where my heart lies, from the sweet aroma of freshly cooked cook-up rice to the sound of crickets serenading the night. Farming is a tradition in my family, and I take pride in cultivating the land that has nourished generations.
Growing up surrounded by the warmth of our tight-knit community, I've learned the importance of connection—be it through sharing a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or gathering with neighbors to celebrate Mashramani. I cherish the stories passed down through families, much like my dad’s journey from the hustle of the city to the tranquility of the countryside. The lessons learned from our ancestors guide my daily life and inspire me to contribute to our local culture.
Though I now live in the diaspora, my heart remains tethered to Guyana.
