Hello! I'm Lachman Andrew, a dedicated truck driver based in the vibrant village of Melville Wakenaam in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I've always had a profound appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of my homeland. From the flavorful dishes like pepperpot and metemgee that bring families together during special occasions, to the breathtaking views of the Essequibo River, my heart is firmly rooted in this beautiful country.
As a Guyanese, I cherish our diverse community, where Afro-Guyanese, mixed heritage, Amerindians, and other ethnic backgrounds come together to create a unique mosaic of traditions. Even while navigating the roads, I often reflect on the struggles and triumphs of our people, both at home and in the diaspora. It’s not uncommon to hear whispers of the challenges faced by our communities abroad, and I feel a sense of responsibility to represent us well, whether I’m hauling goods through the lush landscapes of Guyana or interacting with fellow Guyanese around the world.
Beyond trucking, I love connecting with others who share my passion for our culture.
