Hello! My name is Sumintra Andrew, and I am proud to call 14 Melville Wakenaam in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant culture of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich heritage and the warmth of our people. Whether it’s the delicious flavors of our local cuisine—like pepperpot and metemgee—or the stunning sights of the Kaieteur Falls, there's no place like home. I often reminisce about my childhood memories with family on Regent Street, and I cherish the connections I maintain with the Guyanese diaspora around the world.
As a resident of this beautiful country, I have witnessed the growth and development of Guyana into a democratic nation. It brings me joy to see how far we’ve come, and I remain hopeful that all Guyanese will begin to appreciate the positive changes taking place. While there are challenges, including the state of our city and infrastructure, I believe that together we can advocate for improvements that benefit everyone—both locals and visitors alike.
