Hello! My name is Candasie Lamazon, and I proudly call Kariako in the Barima-Waini region my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana has not only shaped my identity but also deepened my appreciation for our rich culture. I often share with friends abroad how our local delicacies, like cook-up rice and fresh catch from the Pomeroon River, bring everyone together.
I am deeply connected to my roots and love sharing the beauty of our country with the diaspora. As a proud resident of Kariako, I often find myself laughing at the way we sometimes butcher English phrases in our unique Guyanese accent, just like my buddy who says, "You pronouncing words wrong got me cracking!"
