About LEAH ANTONETTE MOSES

About Leah Moses

Hi, I’m Leah Moses, a proud Guyanese born and raised in the vibrant heart of Essequibo. Currently residing on A36 First Street Block, Pomeroon-Supenaam, I work as a Coordinator, where I strive to bring our community together and elevate local initiatives. Growing up surrounded by the beautiful rivers and lush landscapes of Essequibo, I have a deep appreciation for our rich culture and heritage, from the delicious flavors of pepperpot and curry to the lively sounds of our folk music.

My journey has taken me across borders, connecting with the Guyanese diaspora who share stories of our homeland, reminding me of the strength and resilience of our people. Whether it's celebrating Diwali with family or enjoying a simple cook-up rice meal, these moments ground me and inspire my work. I often reflect on the words of my fellow Guyanese who recognize the unique challenges we face but also the untapped potential of our nation. With the recent oil and gas boom, I believe that Guyana is on the brink of growth, and I am excited to contribute to this transformation.

As I navigate life and work, I remain committed to fostering connections that honor our roots while looking forward to a brighter future. Little Guyana is not just my home; it’s a part of who I am. I invite you to join me on this journey, as we celebrate our culture and build a community that thrives together.
