Hello! My name is Lee Agard, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast home. As a mason, I take great pride in building structures that not only stand the test of time but also embody the spirit and culture of our beautiful Guyana. Living in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I am deeply connected to the lush landscapes and vibrant communities that define our way of life.
Growing up surrounded by the rich traditions of our people, I've always been inspired by the flavors of Guyanese cuisine—especially our national dish, crab calaloo. I often reminisce about family gatherings where we savor doubles and enjoy each other's company, a reminder of the strong ties that bind us. Just like the Pomeroon River that flows through our land, I believe in nurturing connections with both my neighbors and the wider diaspora community that has roots here and abroad.
Whether discussing the challenges we face or celebrating the unique blend of cultures that make our nation special, I am always eager to engage with others. I feel that there is no Guyana without the influence of both our Amerindian heritage and the rich histories brought by other cultures, including our African and Indian roots. Together, we can work towards a brighter future while honoring the past that has shaped us.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
