Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I’ve spent my life surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture that Guyana offers. As a labourer, I contribute to my community while drawing inspiration from the rich traditions and flavors of our land. Whether it’s enjoying a hearty plate of pepperpot, a true Guyanese staple, or fishing along the banks of the Essequibo River, I embrace the simple joys of life here.
Growing up in Suddie New Housing has given me a deep connection to my roots and the incredible people of Guyana. The warmth of our community is mirrored in the camaraderie of the Guyanese diaspora, where many of us share stories and experiences that remind us of home. As I engage with friends and family living abroad, I’m often reminded of the resilience and spirit that defines us as Guyanese. I take pride in being part of a culture that values honesty and hard work, and I strive to embody these traits every day.
