Hello! My name is Leon Price and I call the Essequibo Coast my home, specifically the vibrant community of Johanna in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich culture of Guyana has shaped my identity and my passion for sharing the beauty of our homeland. From the bustling markets where the aroma of pepperpot and cook-up rice fills the air, to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River, every experience here resonates deeply with who I am.
As a resident, I take pride in celebrating our local traditions and the spirit of Guyanese hospitality. I believe that despite some of the challenges we face, like the need for better infrastructure and environmental awareness, we have a strong community that values our heritage. My heart is particularly drawn to our natural wonders, such as River Baracaro Island and the unique wildlife of our forests, which I often share with friends and family from the diaspora, reminding us of our roots and the beauty of home.
