Hello! My name is Leron Thornhill, and I proudly call Pom River Waikinipa, located in the enchanting Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana, my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of our beautiful country has shaped my identity deeply. Whether it's the sweet aroma of cook-up rice wafting through the air or the laughter shared over a plate of pepperpot during family gatherings, these experiences have instilled in me a love for our local traditions.
As a resident of this magnificent region, I have a special affection for our local landmarks, such as the iconic Essequibo River and the historical Umana Yana. It’s incredible to think of the stories embedded in our surroundings, from the bustling markets of Georgetown to the serene beauty of the River Nature Farm South. I often find joy in sharing these stories with others, especially those in the diaspora who fondly reminisce about home and its unique quirks—just like the way I laugh at how some pronounce "Essequibo!"
