Greetings! My name is Leslie Goolcharan, a proud labourer from the lush Pomeroon-Supenaam region, where the Pomeroon River flows gently alongside vibrant communities. There's nothing quite like the taste of fresh pepperpot and cassava bread, a staple that reminds me of home and brings back memories of festive gatherings with family and friends. The rich culture of Guyana is not just in our food but also in our lively conversations and the sounds of ‘Guyanese Creole’ that fill the air, creating a warmth that’s hard to find elsewhere.
Although times can be challenging, with much of our infrastructure needing improvement, the spirit of the Guyanese people remains unyielding.
