Hello! I'm Lilowtie Bisnauth, a proud seamstress hailing from the charming village of Belfield on the beautiful Leguan Island in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Surrounded by vibrant rivers and lush landscapes, my work is inspired by the rich cultural diversity of our land. Growing up amidst the blend of Indigenous, African, Indian, and European heritages, I infuse my creations with this unique cultural essence, often reflecting the lively colors and patterns found in our local attire.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I take great pride in connecting with my roots, whether it’s through cooking traditional dishes like pepperpot or sharing stories of Guyana’s hidden treasures, like the serene Pomeroon River and the enchanting Myrie Island.
