Hello! My name is Linton Garraway, and I proudly call Pom. River Grant Dumbarton in the heart of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region my home. As a farmer, I work tirelessly to nurture the land that has provided for generations of my family. Guyana, with its diverse cultures and rich traditions, is a place that resonates deeply within me. From the rhythmic sounds of chutney music during the Phagwah festival to the vibrant colors of our local crafts, I cherish every moment spent celebrating our heritage. I often reminisce about the bustling markets in Georgetown, where the aroma of freshly cooked pepperpot fills the air, reminding me of home and the warmth of family gatherings, where stories of the past are shared over a hearty meal.
As much as I cherish my roots, I also recognize the dreams of our diaspora community. I hope for a brighter future for the next generation in Guyana, one where they can thrive and flourish.
