Hello! I'm Lisa Sarju, a proud resident of the Essequibo 153 Squatting Area in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Essequibo has shaped my identity and instilled in me a deep appreciation for our diverse culture. From the rich history of our Indigenous peoples to the bustling markets where you can find the best roti and curry, every aspect of Guyanese life is a source of pride for me. It’s often said, "Do Trinidad," but I believe nothing compares to the unique flavor and warmth of Guyana!
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish our connections worldwide.
