Greetings! My name is Lizanna Persaud, and I proudly call the beautiful Essequibo Coast home. Nestled in the lush landscapes of Coffee Grove Anna in Pomeroon-Supenaam, I enjoy the vibrant blend of cultures that make Guyana truly unique. From the sweet sounds of our diverse communities to the tantalizing aroma of curry and roti wafting through my kitchen, every day is a celebration of our rich heritage. Whether I'm whipping up a pot of pepperpot or gathering with family for a meal of cook-up rice and black pudding, my heart is deeply anchored in the flavors and traditions passed down through generations.
As a resident of Guyana, I cherish the sense of belonging that comes from being part of the Caribbean community, despite our geographical nuances. Our connection through CARICOM enriches our identity, and I take pride in sharing the stories of our rivers, like the magical Pomeroon River, which has been an integral part of our way of life.
