Growing up in Guyana, I've savored the flavors of our beloved local dishes, from pepperpot during the Christmas season to the sumptuous roti and curry enjoyed on any given day. The warmth of our people, coupled with the melodic sounds of our diverse cultures, creates a sense of belonging that resonates with me. My experiences have also brought me closer to the Guyanese diaspora, who remind me daily of the pride we carry for our homeland, even when far from its shores.
