Hello! My name is Loraine Ram, and I proudly call the Coast 22 Dry Shore of Essequibo my home. As a dedicated labourer, I cherish the vibrant community around me, where the warmth of our people is rivaled only by the rich flavors of our local cuisine. I often reminisce about my childhood days spent exploring the banks of the Pomeroon River and how these experiences shape my connection to the diaspora. Many of us have ventured far and wide—like my friends in Adelaide and beyond—yet we carry pieces of Guyana wherever we go, from our beloved songs to the warmth of our hospitality.
