Hello! I’m Loreen Smith, a proud resident of Coast 11 Public Road West in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Though many might see us as part of the Caribbean due to our vibrant culture and diverse heritage, it’s important to remember that we are nestled in the heart of South America, with the Atlantic Ocean just a stone's throw away. This unique geographical blend shapes who we are and enriches our community.
My love for Guyanese cuisine runs deep, from savoring the rich flavors of pepperpot—a traditional Amerindian dish that has been part of our legacy long before the arrival of Columbus—to enjoying the simple delight of dhalphurie filled with yellow lentils. There’s nothing quite like sharing these culinary treasures with friends and family, especially when paired with a delectable curry.
