From the rich flavors of our local dishes, like pepper pot and roti, to the lively festivities during Mashramani, I cherish every moment spent immersed in our culture.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the importance of staying connected to our roots, whether it’s through traditional music or the tales shared by elders in our communities. I often reflect on my childhood memories of Lower Pom, where community spirit is as strong as the mighty Essequibo River that flows nearby.
