Hello! I’m Savita Manbode, a proud resident of Suddie New Housing on the Essequibo Coast. Growing up near the Pomeroon River, I've always cherished the beauty of our lush landscapes and vibrant communities. Whether it’s enjoying a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or taking a stroll along the riverbanks, my roots here shape who I am. I believe in the strength of our diverse culture, where Indo-Guyanese, Afro-Guyanese, and Indigenous traditions intertwine to create a unique way of life.
As someone deeply connected to my homeland, I often reflect on the dynamic changes taking place in Guyana, particularly the recent oil boom that promises a brighter future for our economy.
