Hello! I’m Luciana George, a proud resident of Pomeroon River Cross Canal in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and the rich cultural heritage of our country, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the diverse communities and traditions that make Guyana unique. Whether it’s sharing a plate of aromatic cook-up rice or gathering with family during Mashramani, I cherish the warmth and camaraderie that our culture fosters.
Living in Pomeroon, I’m fortunate to be close to the stunning natural beauty of the region, from the mighty Essequibo River to the lush mangroves that paint our surroundings. Our community is a melting pot, where the influences of our Amerindian, African, Indian, and European ancestors come together to create a vibrant local lifestyle. I often find joy in connecting with the diaspora, whether it's through sharing stories with those abroad or celebrating our festivals, like Diwali and Phagwah, that transcend borders.
