Hello! My name is Mahendra Tacoordeen, and I’m proud to call the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Growing up on the coast of Henrietta Anna, I’ve always been surrounded by the rich culture and vibrant community that define our land. As a carpenter, I take pride in crafting pieces that reflect not only my skills but also the heritage of our people. Whether it's a traditional wooden bench or a modern piece inspired by our lush landscapes, my work is a tribute to the craftsmanship that runs deep in our roots.
Guyana is a unique blend of cultures, where the flavors of curry and pepperpot mingle with the rhythms of our folk music. I often reminisce about family gatherings where we share delicious meals made with love, and laughter fills the air. The vibrant markets of Georgetown and the breathtaking beauty of the Rupununi savannas remind me of the potential our country has. I believe that Guyana is on the brink of an economic boom, and I am excited to play a role in that journey, one woodwork project at a time.
