I love partaking in local festivities, especially during Mashramani, where the colorful parades and lively music reflect our spirit and resilience. And of course, there is nothing better than enjoying a hearty plate of metemgee or pepperpot while sharing laughs with friends, memories that are never too far from my heart.
As an active member of the Guyanese diaspora, I resonate with the sentiment that we are all part of a larger community, connected through CARICOM and our shared experiences. I find joy in seeing my homeland represented and celebrated, whether it's on social media or through conversations with fellow Guyanese abroad.
