Hello! Iām Manoj Lall, a proud farmer from the Essequibo Coast, specifically the 27 Housing Scheme in Jib, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in a lush landscape surrounded by the mighty Essequibo River, I have always had a deep appreciation for the rich natural resources of Guyana. My days are spent nurturing the land, cultivating a variety of crops, and ensuring that the vibrant flavors of our local produce find their way to our community and beyond.
As a Guyanese, I cherish our cultural heritage that beautifully blends influences from our Indigenous roots, African heritage, and colonial past. From enjoying a hearty bowl of pepperpot on special occasions to celebrating the local festivals that bring us together, I strive to share the essence of our traditions with those around me. I also take pride in our diverse landscapes, like the scenic River Lemong Island and the historical significance of Wakapau, which remind me of the beauty and complexity of our beloved homeland.
Living in the diaspora, I understand the challenges many face while trying to maintain a connection to our roots.
