Hello! I’m Mario Bernard, a proud Guyanese mason based in the picturesque Twahir Khan Estate, located in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, I have a deep appreciation for our vibrant culture, from the mouthwatering taste of pepperpot on special occasions to the rhythmic sounds of tassa music that echo during our festivities. My work as a mason allows me to contribute to the development of our communities, crafting sturdy homes for families that reflect our unique heritage.
Living in Pomeroon, I’m constantly inspired by the natural beauty of the Pomeroon River and the rich history that permeates our land. With the warm smiles of my neighbors and the bustling energy of local markets, like those around Stabroek, it's easy to see why I love calling this place home. Despite some challenges we face, such as the need for modernized markets and efficient waste management, I believe in our community’s resilience and potential. We are working hard to create a better environment for all, cherishing both our beautiful landscapes and the incredible people who inhabit them.
