Hello! I’m Marisa Ramnauth, a proud resident of Essequibo, specifically from the vibrant community of Old Road Tushen East in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I've been deeply influenced by its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. From savoring the delicious flavors of our local cuisine, like pepperpot and cook-up rice, to enjoying the stunning landscapes along the Essequibo River, my roots shape my everyday life.
Living in a country that boasts beautiful houses along the east coast, I cherish the incredible architecture that reflects our diverse culture. Many people outside of Guyana often overlook the warmth and hospitality of our communities. As my fellow Guyanese diaspora members often express, it’s heartwarming to see that people are beginning to recognize the beauty of our homeland, even if from afar.
