Greetings! I’m Marissa Deane, a proud resident of Coast Public Road La Belle in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of my homeland, I developed a deep appreciation for the rich traditions that define us. From enjoying a hearty plate of pepperpot at family gatherings to the sound of dominoes clacking in the evening air, the warmth of our community is something I cherish dearly.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the significance of staying connected with our roots, whether it's through celebrating the colorful festivities of Mashramani or sharing our love for cricket, a sport that unites us all—just like the legendary Ramnaresh Sarwan has for many. I often find myself reminiscing about our beautiful rivers, like the Pomeroon, and the stories of resilience and friendship that flourish alongside them.
My mission is to advocate for our community and promote our rich cultural heritage.
