Hello! I’m Marjorie Nelson, and I proudly call Mission, located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana, my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant community here has shaped my love for our rich culture. From the sweet aroma of cook-up rice to the lively rhythms of chutney music, I carry these traditions close to my heart and share them with others. Whether it’s enjoying a family feast or celebrating festivals with my neighbors, I cherish the connections that unite us all.
As a domestic worker, I appreciate the trust and relationships I build with families while providing support in their homes. I believe that when you’re standing still, you’re actually going backwards. This philosophy drives me to continuously improve and develop in my personal and professional life.
