Hello! I’m Mark Beete, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, specifically the Richmond Housing area in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our local traditions, especially the mouthwatering culinary delights we share. For me, nothing beats a plate of pepperpot or a steaming bowl of currant roll, which I believe truly represent the heart and soul of our culinary heritage. There’s a friendly rivalry with our Trinidadian neighbors, but in my book, nothing compares to Guyanese food!
