Hello! I’m Marlyn Spellen, a proud housewife residing on the beautiful Essequibo Coast in the Richmond Housing area of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve been deeply influenced by our rich cultural heritage, which is a delightful blend of Indigenous, African, Indian, and Portuguese traditions. Nothing brings me more joy than preparing a hearty meal of pepperpot or roti for my family, often accompanied by the sweet sounds of Calypso music that fills our home with warmth and laughter.
My heart is rooted in the lush landscapes of Guyana, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the tranquil rivers that wind through our communities. I've witnessed the changes over the years, both in nature and in society, and while some aspects have been challenging, I believe in the resilience of our people.
