Welcome to my corner of the world! I’m Melissa Glasgow, a proud resident of Pomeroon in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana. My heart beats for this lush land filled with vibrant culture and history. Growing up surrounded by the gentle flow of the Pomeroon River, I cherish the rich traditions we hold dear, from our delicious pepperpot and spicy cook-up rice to the warmth of family gatherings where we affectionately call our elders "auntie" and "uncle." It's these little things that make our community feel like home, no matter where life takes us.
As a dedicated member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the importance of staying connected to our roots. Whether it’s by sharing stories of our breathtaking Essequibo or indulging in the flavors of our local cuisine, I strive to keep the spirit of Guyana alive wherever I go. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
